Aquamirae Mod Guide to the Ice Maze and Ship Graveyard

Explore the Aquamirae Mod Ice Maze and Ship Graveyard with preparation tips for navigation, fresh chunks, structures, creatures and safer return routes.

Aquamirae Mod Ice Maze and Ship Graveyard gameplay scene

The Ice Maze and Ship Graveyard define Aquamirae’s exploration loop: a frozen surface labyrinth paired with dangerous submerged spaces. Good navigation matters because the environment can turn a short loot run into a long recovery mission.

How the Ice Maze changed

The 6.2.0 release notes described a major Ice Maze overhaul that replaced dense wall-like generation with a multi-layer noise-based system intended to improve variety and reduce generation cost. Later 7.x updates continued adjusting where structures and mobs appear, so route density can differ between versions.

Generate the right terrain first

If Aquamirae was added to an existing world, travel beyond previously generated chunks. New world-generation mods cannot reliably replace terrain already saved to disk.

Mark your route

Use coordinates, in-game markers available in your pack, or simple block landmarks. A return route is especially valuable when ice corridors and submerged wreckage begin to look similar.

Prepare for layered danger

Bring resources for both surface travel and underwater movement. Hostile creatures can turn navigation mistakes into combat problems, so avoid exhausting supplies before entering structures.

Treat loot runs as expeditions

Leave inventory space, keep backup equipment at home and return before every resource is depleted. The safest successful run is one you can repeat.

Important: Back up important worlds before changing loaders, dependencies or world-generation mods. The primary download supplied on this site is a GitHub source archive, not an install-ready JAR.
